Hawzah News Agency- Shia scholar Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Khatami paid a visit to the Book of Religion exhibition in Qom on Monday, February 20 during which he emphasized encouraging the general public to the culture of reading books and said,” We are not in a good situation in terms of book reading, perhaps, book reading is not given a proper value and promoting culture of reading should be diligently followed.”

A member of the Supreme Council of Seminaries considered the establishment of the book of religion exhibition as a valuable step and said,” This exhibition provided a valuable platform for researchers in the field of religion.”

The member of the Board of Iran’s Assembly of Leadership Experts stressed that the religious book exhibition should be held in a wider and international manner, and stated,” Although in this exhibition, book purchase vouchers are presented to the audience, but it is not appropriate with the high prices of books; therefore, a plan should be considered to decrease the high price of books.”

Ayatollah Khatami noted,” In general, the establishment of the Book of Religion exhibition was valuable and praiseworthy.”
